1st...

this is a legal issue. I am loc in CA. I got a speeding ticket while going on a 270mi roadtrip. At my 60mi point, i got pulled for doing 91, no front plate, and red bulbs up front. So i told him i cant come down to court cuz its too far from where i live. So they sent me a letter with the price of the ticket. Its my 2nd speeding ticket. Its around 500. So i totally forgot about it the ticket was due o aug 31, 04. I still havent paid it. Will anythin happen anytime soon? I also have 1 unpaid parkin ticket from like over 1/2 a year ago. nothin showed up when the CHP pulled me over when i was speedin so im guessin that ticket is not on file or somethin. Well..what should I do>?

i've also loved DSMs for another reason...i mean is there any other turbocharged car u can get in GOOD/GREAT condition within the 10k price range than a 2g turbo DSM. I cant think of any other cars. I alwyas suggest GSX/GST's to everyone who wants a new car. Cuz its turbocharged, its got the looks, the price is low, and it can basically spank cars that are worth 20k+ (ie: the RSX, v6 accords, celica GTS...) So is there any other car that u can get at the gst/gsx price range?

I dont know about there, but here parking tickets dont count against you. However any for of speeding ticket ect. does. I suggest you get it taken care of before there is a warrant out for you for failure to appear.

I just went to court, and you wouldn't believe this.....
There was at least 60 people in court, and I'd say at least 75% of them all had Failure to Appear.....
While the commissioner was reading what each person was cited for, she'd
immediately drop the $265 fine for Failure to Appear.
If I were you, I'd role the dice, call the court and get your but in there.
The last thing you want is to be out with a hot lady and you get rolled,
cuffed and stuffed for being negligent about a ticket....
It's not worth it..... Cops suck, and you think you have it bad now, just wait
til there's a warrant for your arrest......
Just go to court and take care of it, you may even be able to do traffic
school if you haven't done traffic school in the last 18 months....

As soon as there is a warrent out for your arrest, it goes into every computer under a file called a NCIC report. This report shows any existing warrents that have not been resolved in every state across the country yet. This only comes up after they run your lisence number, not your plates. However failure to appear in court will constitute as something that justifies a warrent, as well as not paying a parking ticket by the next fiscal year when the city does its record check. My advice would be to mail in the money for the ticket along with an appology for tardiness letter stating that you needed to wait for the funds in order to pay off the ticket, and then get the parking ticket paid off, otherwise they will tow your car next time it is parked illegally! Just my $.02

damn scary shit...do u think they'll give me an extension if i call now? I mean i've called once and it was an automated machine that told me to enter my citation # and it said it couldnt process it or somethin. No clue why. i would pay it if i could, but i cant afford to pay up $500 right now. Also, on the same day the ticket was due, i was called to attend traffic school for a previous speeding ticket about 6 months before this one. I didnt go because i couldnt make it. I mean they assigned me to school about 450 miles from me!! also, i cannot go to court because i got it in bakersfield, ca about 220 miles from me.

Damn, dude, you really need to call the court and explain to the clerk your situation.
Just call them, and they will help you take care of it.
Whatever you do, don't let this turn into something that can ruin your life....
You never know.....
