Is this a check engine light? is there a way to reset it?
Mine turned on today. I got the car about 30 min before hand. After lay on the throttle in second gear it came on.

I need to go pick up a obdII scanner tomorow.

They're the same thing.. disconnect the battery and let it sit for a while, this will reset the ECU. If there's still a problem, you'll probably throw the same code again.

Yes. Yes - disconnect battery for 2 minutes (will also lose radio presets).

DSMs do not have a "Service Engine Soon" light.

When a sensor returns values that are out of acceptible range, it trips a Check Engine Light and the error is stored in memory.
