Service engine soon light after RS install

Hey,

My brother and I just installed his new UICP and the new Greddy RS blow off valve. After pluging the intake we took a ride and the service engine light came on. Two questions why did it come on and how do we fix it?

Did you vent the bov?

Check to make sure you plugged in the MAS plug(little black wire harness) back in. Its a newbie mistake and I did it.


Also as stated above, you need to recirculate that BOV.

there is a rubber hose that goes from the bov outlet to your intake it allow you to recirculate the exhaust gases back into your turbo. you have to have that piece as unless your running a maf-t setup, the air is calculated before the bov, so if you did not hook back up that piece, you will letting out air the system has calculated therefore running more rich, and you can stall, sputter, and in some cases the car may die in between shifts.

that may be the cause, if thats not the cause, then go to autozone and get the code off your CEL( check engine light) post it here and i'll tell you what it is.
