Will seating valves after new valve stem seals installed cause them to leak? I oiled them while I was seating valves using the drill method but now on a couple of valves the seal won't hold them up they kinda drop down a little bit. There viton valve seals

Using the drill method to lap in valves takes a practice to be done properly. The lateral force that can be placed on the valve due to the length and leverage of the assembled tool increases the chances of damaging guides and creating seats that are uneven.

When you say make the valves "leak" are you referring to oil out of the new seals or "leak" as in not sealing? Did you install the seals and then lap the valves with the seals installed?

Iv done the hand lapping method took forever and still leaked I've done the drill method properly, and leaking as in from the steam seals not the seats, I lapped the valves, put in the seals, then springs then checked for light and water leaked then I relapped the ones that didnt seat all the way

If you lapped in the valves and then replaced the seals, there is no reason that the seal should be damaged or leaking considering you have the proper valve seals installed.
