A few days ago i had this discussion with a friend about wich engine is stronger on stock internals. 4g63 or ej20.

Please post whp number that you heard about 4g63 engines on stock internals, you can classified them as evo, 7 or 6 bolt
on stock long block or on stock short block.

Down here in Puerto Rico a friend of mine on a gv4 had 475whp on stock long block.

i believe stock internals can handle 400 on are cars. i don't know boost numbers though

didnt Mlopez make like 500hp on stock internals?

the 4g63 can handle ALOT of abuse. with the proper head gasket and head studs, and tuning, can see 30psi daily and last a long time with correct maintenance. its everything else connected to the 4g63 thats the weak point.

I made 445whp on stock internals (mustang dyno). Thats like 500+ on dynojet. Could of gotten higher numbers but I don't want to blow up my daily driver. Our motors can handle the power with a good tune.

The 4g63 is a better motor. The ej20 cracks blocks at around 600 horsepower, and reqire heavy sleeving and very careful not to make em break. Once you put in forged internals with the 4g63, its built like a brick and will take more abuse.
