Searching for iac in junkyard

I have a 1g throttle body on my 2g. I am thinking my iac is giving me a problem. It doesnt appear to be moving. I would like to test it by putting another one in from the junkyard, I will test the coils before i get it. I am curious to what cars have the same iac. Is it just turbo eclipses from 90-99? I hardly ever see any turbo eclipses in the junkyard and would be suprised to see one. Also just because all my coils test good, does that mean the iac is good or can it still be bad?

which 1g tb do you have? I am going to asume you have a 91-94 not the 90. You can find them on:

galants with the 4g64 should have one on the v6 as well
2g eclipse spyder 4g64
I am sure most 90s mitusbishis use the same one. There are some hyndais that use the same one as well.

wow i didnt realize how many cars use the same one.. all these should be plug and play correct? im off to the junkyard tommorrow.. even non turbo galants and stealth/3000gt will work?

Pretty much any 90's mitsubishi vehicle will have the same iac as stated. Eclipse 4g63, 3000gt, diamante, and montero's. The galant 2.4's actually use a different style iacv as well as the mirages.

I think you can get a new one at oreillys for under 100

Make sure to get a black plastic one rather than the old crappy tan and aluminum ones.

Or 5 dollars, maybe free at the junkyard. If i only get one they wont charge me. Since im there every day. Also is there any way to unstick the one i have? All the coils are fine, but i cant seem to see the iac moving at all.

Why do you think your iac is bad?? what is the problem of the engine.

Mostly if you measure the coils and the are ok then the iac is good, you can
take it appart and seen if it is stuck and clean it if necessary.

when you turn on the accnition it should move just a little bit, but dont expect it to move a inch.

I cant see it moving. Maybe it is just my eye. On first start up (whether cold or warm) the car idles all over the place and sometimes almost dies. My base spark is right, i adjusted my tps. The last thing i have been messing with is the biss screw, but no matter how much i play with it, it still seems to be a problem. If i leave my foot on the gas for about 20 sec. then it idles normal. I was thinking the iac is not opening up on start up like it should be.

The mirage uses a different iacv than what you need.

I meant galant. Sorry didnt even notice. There is usually 3 or 4 galants there. Sadly they are closed today because of labor day.

The galants are different also.

I got a iac off of a diamante. The plug is exactly the same. The tip is a little different. Should this be okay? If not how do i swap them. I have some pictures attached.
