I know that early lasers came stock with the more stick look shifter then the common ball style shifter that is now standered for dsm's. Does any body have a aftermarket stick looking shifter. Thanks

Yeah, the early DSM's got stuck with those damn monster shifters. The shorter Second Gen leather shift knob is a nice replacement.

While you're working in that area, you might consider replacing the shift boot with something made of ACTUAL leather. Unfortunately, you have to ACTUALLY maintain real leather. I just love the smell. Of course, the 14 year old synthetic boot on mine could practically pass for new.
