Ok so I got the new SS Oil return line (pushlock style) from slowboys. got it assembled and under the car but its so long it kinks if i try and force the oil pan side on. any simple way about cutting it? or do i need to get the fittings on tighter?

Just cut the blue tubeing to where you can mate it all the way up to the red stoper on the fittings for both sides. I had to cut my SS line that Slowboy sent me cause it was to long, I just did it with a sharp chizel and hammer, one quick blow and it will cut right threw. But yours isnt ss, its the blue hose thats more silicone or rubber like, so i say a pair of heavy sissors should work well.

my bad man

my line IS a SS line.. I got mixed up. It really is stainless steel. SO you just cut it with a chisel? It didn't try to unweave itself or anything? sounds good thanks for the help!

Ok then you got the same one that i have. Yes just take a chisel and a heavy hammer and give it a good wack, it should cut through the first time if its sharp enough.

Your welcome for the help :thumb:

If it is stainless it's probably not pushlock style. Is this the kit you have?

If it is then you need to wrap the line in masking tape, I usually wrap it around 2 times. Then I cut it with a cutoff wheel and it seems works very well. Do not remove the tape. If you do the line can fray and it will make installation very difficult. The line will go into the fittings with the tape on it.
