I spent this weekend trying to install my SBR gt-11 turbo into my 99 eclipse (stock 7bolt engine)

I banged the water pipe and deleted teh bango bolt below it to make it fit, but now my water pipe wont stop leaking from the waterpump/thermostat connection, i checked the 0 ring and it looks good (this 99 only has 26k on the clock..) so i RTV'd it and am lettin it sit, hopfuly it works out... anyone else have this issue? the other 2 gsx's ive seen it installed on had Zero water leaking issues after banging the pipes in a bit..

Did you pull the pipe off before you started banging it?
It sounds like you disformed the pipe a little when hitting it and it's not sealing properly.

yes this is a conudrum damn 7 bolts i say we just stick the stroker in there..LOL

yah, i'm sure we did, but its nothing a little plumbers tape & a shit load of grey RTV didn't fix (eventualy......)

the other two guys who did this type of instal banged the pipe with it still in the car & had no issues :(

I also had to delete the bango bolt below the water pipe and pull water from a different sourse for the turbo, but its finaly done so thats good.

put the stroker in there

All in good time,,, all in good time...

hell i still have to pull it OUT of the other car :p

hehe ya this thing will be a beast once ya get the rest of the goodies in there my ? is how much longer ya would have looked for the idle thing if i wasn't there ;) btw thanks for the grub......cheap labor :D
