I can't make up my mind... the SBR GT-11 seems most suited to my needs but there is little info on them.. Garrett makes the GT-11 also.. Would that be more efficent than the Hybrid? Any info on the turbo would help... They are based off the gt30 CHRA. I'll be buying from slowboy, here's the link

Oh... and why can't I find info for them off of their site??? does slowboy make the housings for the Garrett and the hybird model?

A full Garrett is usually more efficient than a hybrid using Garrett parts, but like you said there isn't a compressor map to compare them. I like the description Slowboy gives of the GT-11, but I know I'd buy something with a little better info or reputation first. I haven't heard much about anyone running the Slowboy GT turbos. There are several turbos that will do the power levels that turbo is advertised at. What exactly are your goals, and do you have a price limit?

I want a BB for the reliability and I'd like to stay under 1,300 for the turbo itself.. My goals are well... like they advertise "A perfect switch hitter" flat 12's but can still be very autoX able...Or any racing for that fact..I like it all and just like to race what ever type it is.Just for fun locally.. Have you ever read Sport Compact's Ultimate Street Car Challange...That is what I'm trying to accomplish....
A Ball Bearing 50 trim is also an option but...On their web site it says that it is dual BB with a "Bearing System – Garrett Race 360 Center Section"
Isn't that a thrust bearing? I'll e-mail Mike and ask...

Did you want to go bolt on or T3? Either way Id recommend the GT3076, which can be had in either version. The 3076 is rated at 52 lb/min so you'll get abit more out of it vs a 50 trim (which is rated at 45lb/min) & they don't add all that much spool time as they use the newest GT wheels. Depending on your setup & which model turbo you select you should see low to mid 20's around the 3800 mark (give or take) & still be able to lay down over 500 awhp with the proper supporting mods.

a buddy of mine runs an SBR GT-12 on his 02' WRX. Its a great turbo...it is just sooooo damn laggy.

Every part of his exhaust system as been replaced..so theres no restriction there. Only the long route FMIC piping. The car really doesnt go anywhere untill about 4100, but then you get a really nice pull out of it. And the car only makes 337 AWHP, tuned by Franz at KTR.

Thats my input. But i see your going with teh DBB 50trim. I made the decision recently too. I think its a really good street choice.
