Says its miss firing but not?

OK so my ECU says its miss firing in all 4 cylinders. but i don't here nothing. And after sitting in idle for 20 minutes it like to start smoking not a lot though but only if its in idle for 20 minutes or so runs fine going down the road ??? any ideas

###### won't really hear it!! Could be plugs or wires just for basics quick tune up!!

Pull the plugs and check to see if there are any oil on them! It's not suppose to be smoking. You might be burning oil.

Well i did what y'all said there is nothing wrong with them there fine but i replaced them anyways just to make sure and still same code after resetting the code think it could be alternator ? i have the weird problem when i turn engine over i see my lights dim more than they should and it does it going down the road from time to time. like i could give it a lot of gas and the lights get bright then they go dim and my rpm's drop 1000 then back up 1000 but only when i give it gas it idles fine im a little lost. i had to replace my ECU about 2 months ago but had the power spikes before he last ECU went bad. im thinking what ever is causing the spikes could have killed the last ECU so im a little worried .

Any Idea?? Please help

The part of the dimming of the lights and going back to normal could be the alternator, also it could be the alternator belt being a bit loose.

I just ha the alternator Tested and its fine but in the test the belt squeak and then stopped.
Now the Idler Pulley has been wobbliness just a little so im replacing that tomorrow for the hell of it. and now that its getting cold iv noticed its not burning any oil anymore ?? Weird??
Now i also hear that i needed to get the ECU programmed for my car ( I got the ECU used from Ebay was cheaper than new and everything matched up ) So let me know if i was being BS'ed Or not please, And i also Thought and forgot to replace or check the distributor cap. So let me know if the distributor cap could cause a so called P0300 Code

The New List of Codes im getting now: P0300 , P0445. So don't know if the could be related ?

usually when you get a new ecu you hace to have it programed to your vin. Have you checked your coil pack? Is it missing at all?

Everything is fine with my wires and coil pack and replaced the spark plugs 3 times now, and no i did not have it programmed for my car yet was not sure if i had too, and the gas cap is tight . do you know how much it might cost to have it programmed to my vin?

i believe the cgarge a hour labor or so...so 85-150. and just cause your gas cap is tight dont mean the seal isnt sealing :thumbup: .

bad o2 sensors throw misfire codes. might want to check them out
