Should know a Cat is actually worse for the damn environment because they dont work until they reach a certain temp. So ya have a family that drives the car around town the cat plugs up get all that shizit built up then they say hey lets take a 4 hours road trip rolling down the highway and the cat heats to that temp and all that crap built up comes pooring out. Stupid government.

Should know it's the same with the DPFs on new diesels. They will force you to stop the vehicle on the side of the road and it will poor enough fuel into the engine to get the DPF hot enough to burn out the emissions crap.
