same turbo,similar mods why big 1/4 mile times?

someone with knowledge, please hear me out. i have been searching for an answer for an hour but can't find one.
okay, here goes,
i was just looking at the time slips on here , comparing it to the turbo that i plan on running and i see such a big difference in times.
even car that very close mods done to each of the cars. what is the factor in it? is it in the tuning? both cars had almost the same 60'.theoretically,,,,,,,,if i plan on obtaining big numbers from my pte sc6152e who do i go by ? the guy that ran a 10.9, or the guy that ran a 12.87? when my mods are equivilent to the both of the said persons'

What's the mph on the slips. Seriously there is more to timeslips than the ET. Too many factors in there.

weight, track temp and altitude, tune, fuel used, boost level, driver skill.... just a couple things that would make up for the difference in times. FWD vs. AWD is a BIG BIG thing too
