Ok I know with the older style SAFCII with 8 Nepoints it is best to set them at 1k, 2k, 3k, 4k, 4.5k, 5k, 6k, 7k. What about the Newer knob style with 12 points? Keep in mind guys when you reply that the new style only set points in even numbers unlike the older style so 4.5k, 5.5k etc... are not an option. Also you guys with b16g turbos is putting more points around 2.6k to 3.6k (where boost hits) going to help have a better tune?

you want the points to be close together where you have a sudden change in airflow.(ie: turbo spooling up) I have a b16g and the points are: 1000-1600-2200-2800-3400-3800-4200-4800-5400-6000-6600-7200.

Mine were almost identical but I didn't take it up as high because I never turned my car over 6900rpm. 1000, 1400, 2000, 2600, 3200, 3600, 4200, 4800, 5200, 5800, 6200, 6800. I liked having a setting at 3200 because that was the rpm that I hit full spool as well.

LOL yeah I read through that and wondered myself, I am used to typing numbers really fast and wasn't looking at the screen, all better now.

You had me f###ed up for a second. Was that with your stroked motor and the fp3065 or did you have a 16g in at the time?

if you span out your points to about 600 rpms normally, and 400 rpms when the intake flow is changing rapidly, you should be fine. Just make a pull and take a look at your karman Hz. See where you need the points to be closer.

p.s. that should get you going untill you run into a timing or knock problem...:)

That was my rebuilt 6 bolt with a big16g at 18psi. My 92 TSi AWD I recently got rid of. My Stroker is sitting on an engine stand turboless because I am very undecided. LOL
