i just bought a maft. ive ben told be several people to fine tune it i eaither need dsm link or a safc. i dont know if i really want dsm link for $500+ so im wondering what the big differnce between the safc2 and the Neo are is it worth geting a neo? thanks for all the help and input

dsmlink could be your best bet in the long run. it depends on your goals.
short term wise: an SAFC is a great tool for lower level modding. it can also be a great tool for upper level tuners who really know the ins and outs of tuning.

bottom line is this...
the NEO is a great SAFC with nice colors(read: rice) and tune points.

BUT.

The SAFC2 was superior because of one thing. while it also has a good amount of rpm tuneing points, IT HAS TWO(2) SAVEABLE MAPS.
the neo only has one.
this means that for those people with dual stage boost controllers, the 2 can do a lot of good.
think of it this way. you have one tune on your SAFC and 2 boost levels...hmm.
NOW you have a map for high boost and a map for low boost.
or one for daily and one for smog? who knows, its up to you.
oh an lets not forget that a neo new costs more than an safc new or used.

Cliff notes:

neo = ok
SAFC2 = better.
