SAFC says im on the throttle LIES!

Today i decided to get on the car, and now i wish i wouldnt have ><. After i did that SAFC was saying i was 70% on the throttle i didnt even have my foot on the pedal, and the rpms were at 1k. Car down shifted out of gear pretty hard tryed to drive the car normly back home wouldnt shift gears wouldnt build boost. If i let the car cool down for a couple hours its fine, but it will start to do it again latter on, but only when i get on it... i have no lights on the dash.

I have replaced tranny fluid, and filter. I was thinking about getting of those m515 loggers from Dataloggers, because im tired of guessing, but i did some research on them for the past hour or so, and people have said alot more bad then good on them if someone could throw me some more opinions with that.

I'll see if i can get a video of what its doing tomorrow.

The TPS sensor may have died on you.

The SAFC gets 0% and 100% throttle by looking at your highest and lowest readings. If you reset or just setup the the SAFC it won't know the TPS reading. Just turn key to ACC so SAFC turns on, and floor and let off the gas pedal a few times and the SAFC will be setup for TPS readings.


Also if the TPS wire has a break in it somewhere it will read 100%. I had a issue that the TPS wire was loose at the ECU, so everytime I hit a bump or went WOT the the wire would unconnect and the SAFC would read 100% TPS, and dump fuel making the car bog or stall out.

If you can borrow a logger, compare TPS values on the SAFC and Logger.
They should be close, but will not match perfect.
SAFC uses a 0-100% scale.
Logger will use a about 10-90% scale, depending on how your TPS sensor is adjusted.

Well i was looking into buying a logger. Allso i cleaned my motor with some of that gook degreaser crap worked good, but my left stud on the exhaust manifold is dripping oil very slowly now that everything is clean i can see it . When i cleaned the motor with the pressure washer you think it could have ruined my sensor ><? i covered the maf, and filter fuses didnt spray the valve cover all that kinda crap, but everything else caught the spray, and the water dumb mistake?

Last I checked the SAFC got the 0-100% Throttle reading from the TPS Sensor, Reset or not. Hell mine knew right away.

Ya at the bottom left it says however much i have opened the throttle, and in big numbers it says how much it is opened. Where it was opened it said 70 something %, and i had my foot on the brake not the gas
