I was wondering what some people use to tune thier low throttle points on their safc's. I have a datalogger and an air/fuel gauge that I tune WOT for and have gotten those settings where I like them. But I want to make sure that I am not constantly running rich when Im not at WOT. What are some techniques that people use to do this using what I have to work with. I would love to go out and by a wideband but as for right now I do not have the cash so please just give some suggestions that arent gonna cost a bunch of money.

in for the same answer

ive been wondering the same thing but ive heard that the ECU can take care of low throttle fuel curves on its own.

so we'll just wait and see.

If Im reading this right then, fuel trims.
Drive around for 20 then idle for 5 log the trims and get them to 0 steady by leaning out/richening things up.

At idle get them to 0, then hold the car at 1000 rpms at get them to 0

then hold it at 2000 and get them to 0 and same for 3000. Then tune WOT.

The fine points and ALL you need to know are right here.

That's right. The one difference is that 1Gs should see 100%, whereas 2Gs read 0% when everything is dialed in.

Didnt see he was a 1G :sosad: Anyway if your comfortable tuning at wot, the fuel trims will be cake and should improve your gas mileage and driveability as well. Its a safe and good thing to have tuned. I would do it as soon as possible. Also the ECU has correction parameters. You will make changes....and it will counter them, but only untill its used, I believe its 12% range. Maybe check the fuel trims everyother day for a week making minor changes where needed, then they should be set in. GoodLuck.
