Hi im new to the world of tuning and stuff but I would like to become decent with tuning my car with my AFC neo. Im getting done with my new set up right now and im doing fuel upgrades. Im running evo 8 560cc injectors with a walbro 190 pump. I want some what of a base tune for a ported evo 3 at 20PSI My mods list is up to date so if your wondering whats on my car it will be on the list. It is almost done and I just want it to run decent so I can atlest drive and so I can fine tune it then if I got some numbers to work with.

Sorry if this sounds like a newbie question. But when I look at the afc my mine goes blank and I don't know were to begin please guide me.WTF

If you can spring it, buy a wideband! Then use the RRE instructions, but instead of o2 volts and EGT's you'll know the exact AFR and can tune it perfect under WOT. To get the idle and cruising settings down good though you are reallly going to need a loger to keep track of the fuel trims and see how far off they are, or know when they are all correct.

Tuning isn't as complicated as some make it sound, and an AFC is one of the easiest tuning tool out there. For WOT tuning you're going to pick a target AFR (11:1 is good for starters) and go wide open in 3rd at 2k rpm and check the AFR on the wideband, the if it was lean, add some fuel if it was rich decrease the setting. So do this through the entire RPM range but honestly at the speeds you'll be reaching in 3rd at the higher RPM's, I highly suggest tuning it somewhere wide open, straight and empty with out any other cars around, safetey is key and watching the tach and wide band while at 6500RPM in third, in traffic, is down right stupid it's so dangerous, you just cannot keep track of traffic and monitor and remember these gauges readings at these speeds to consider it safe around any other cars or anywere but a track...but like we all have open track access for tuning right?? LOL LOL be safe, get a logger and WBO2 if you can and you'll make the best of the tune armed with those.

Yes I already seen the RRE but I just wanted to know if someone had settings of an actual neo not a safc II or safc I. Something thats in the 16 point tuning part not the 12 point and have a set up thats closer to mine.

To turboglenn yes I already have a Wide band. Its a PLX devices DM-5. Im hoping to get a pocket logger later this year.

Should I maybe just report back when this thing is ready to start???

thanks for the help so far from both of you.
