I got an SAFC 1 for free off of my friend the other day, but it only has one taped black portion containing a sequences of wires running out of it and the end of it is a white piece that looks like its supposed to connect to another harness or something. Can i still connect this to my car and get it working?

You would probly have to either buy the other end of the harness from somewhere or cut the harness off and extend the wires to make it from your ECU to whereever you put the unit.

I believe so, if im not mistaken the harness is just there so you can disconnect it when you get out of the car so noone can steal it if it is even visiable. When I had mine hooked up (just took it off yesterday DSMlink) I had it wired to the ECU then the wire ran under the consol up the side by the passenger side and then put it in my glove box with enough room to pull it out and set it up on top of my dash with slack still in the cable and when I was done just put it back in the consol and noone new I had it.

I have yet to see that white connector, LOL. All my safc installs have been just wire pigtails. As a matter of fact, for the 2gnt I ended up adding wire to make a new pigtail so that I could extend it into the engine bay.

all right i installed and it works perfect except that Throttle sits at 0.0% all the time and doesnt move. When i go to Sensor Chk. on the afc it shows me a reading for throttle. I connected the gray wire from the safc into the red/blue wire on the ecu, any reason why this isnt working right?

Check the wiring to your boost gauge now.... when you mess around with it you might hit a wire lose or something

is there any other reason why my throttle % wouldnt show up besides a bad wiring job??
Bad TPS maybe (but i doubt it:rocks: ) check the voltage going into the ecu form TPS....
