i have a safc and I'm want to get a 2g maf is that a good mod for a 1g and how would you tune that and also can you eliminate fuel cut with a safc and 2g maf sensor if it occurs i have a vpc now but it was damaged so I'm looking into a 2g maf ....if anyone has advice it will be appreciated.... thanks :dsm:

You can use a 2g MAF with a 1g no problem. They both use Karman style flow meters so no problem's there. Since you have an S-AFC fuel-cut won't be a problem either, You can tune that out.

i also have a 3in turbo intake pipe what kind of modification will i have to do to accommodate for the 2g maf i saw it and its not a round circle like the 1g

You don't HAVE to get an intake for a 2g car but it is recommended. It fit's all the same, you will just have to make a new BOV recirculating tube. Other than that I think there is a vendor that make's a silicoln coupler to go from 1g to 2g MAF.

Also, you'll have to do alot of tuning in you have stock 450 injectors. If you get or have 550's you'd need very little tuning, I ran my car without an safc for a year before I got the safc and little tuning was needed so I didnt really feel a difference.

Please explain how using stock injectors you tune out fuel cut with an SAFC? I'd like to understand how that works or what your thinking.

Forgot he didn't have a 2g and on my 95 GST I just added more fuel in the upper rpm's and it stopped what I thought was fuel-cut but maybe wasn't

If it was fuel cut, adding fuel (air actually), would just make it happen sooner.

The way to avoid fuel cut with a SAFC is to run bigger injectors and subtract air to correct for them. That lowers the MAF Hz and hopefully doesn't trigger the ECU check.
