Saab 9000 Turbo Head Swap

I dont think that this is a newbie question but i didnt know where to put it. I sold something to this guy on ebay and he called me and we where talking about our cars, He said that he had 1st gen. He said that he took a saab 9000 2.3 turbo head and that it bolted to the 4g63. He said that it gave him more displacement and better combustion, He said that the intake/exaust ports flowed more air. I couldnt find any history of this swap, I was wondering if anybody had any heard of this and if it was possible.
