I had my Super-AFC installed a few weeks ago by a friend(he knows what he is doing, he's done 3 working ones before). It worked completely fine, except for one thing, the AFC was not showing any Air Flow. We thought the wire was loose and since otherwise it ran fine, we decided to fix it another day. Well, today rolls around and we tried again. All the wires were secure and in the right position. It still did not read airflow when I gave it throttle. I then changed my mass air flow sensor to another spare one and nothing. Finally, I tested to see if it was my ECU by temporarily switching it to my buddies', no change.
Why is it not reading Air Flow? it can't be tuned without it. Like I said though, my car runs fine and the AFC works otherwise. I bought it off of the classified ads here, so the only explanation I have is that it was sold to me with one or both of the Air Flow wires that are just plain bad

What guide did you use to install this one ? I have heard of alot of people having that problem with our cars. let me know what diagram you used first because one of them out there give the wrong wire for the air flow.

Just be sure that you used the pink and orange for the airflow intercept, not the yellow and white. It is a very common mistake. And then even thou you said you checked it, double check the that pink wire connects AT the ECU side and the orange wire is AWAY from the ECU. again very common mistake and it is EASILY over looked. Any chance happen to have a logger? if so, reconnect the airflow cable the way it should be IE bypass the SAFC, then log and see that your getting airflow. Then slice in the SAFC and check again at the logger. If nothing then something is getting pouched at the SAFC/ wiring. I have seen the harness that extends into the side of the SAFC being pulled to hard and dislogged some of the wires. (They are pinned in). and I had to open one up to verify/ repair this. If this is something you are not comfortable doing then DO NOT DO IT, and call the vendor where you purchased the SAFC from for a possible replacement. I think RRE had a note about swinging the SAFC by the harness and what those pins looked like in thier library somewhere, but I just looked and could not find it. I will keep looking.
