alright i was tunning my car today and playing around with the throttle points(high, low) and i could not tune it right. I was wondering if anyone is running stock 450cc injector with a big 16g and what they have for their highs and lows so i could use it as a starting point.
Anything would be appreciated. Thank you

umm logger u meen by like Dsmlink? I have an Apexi Safc.. Im not to sure but how to log.

You can't really add a whole lot more fuel to 450's to run your 16G. You more than likely run into some fuel cut. I suggest logging a few runs at 12-13 psi and see what kind numbers you get for knock and O2's. I would shoot for .94 on the O2's.

By logger he means data- or pocket- or something. Or DSMlink if you have it. Until you know what you are doing, you really need to go out to your car right now and turn the boost down to stock and keep your foot off the pedal all the way on the right when you drive. :toobad:

You have increased the level of air into the combustion chamber, but not the level of fuel, not enough to compensate anyway. What does this mean? Lean, melted piston, rebuilt motor, lots of debt, one more person who can say "DSM's are unreliable POS."

By the way, the AFC is used pretty much to compensate for different sized injectors. So what should your settings be? 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0

Again, READ about tuning and fuel upgrades and turn the boost down.

How are you making adjustments with the safc without any logging device? You NEED something to read your fueltrims/o2's/etc. If you do not have something to tell you what is going on with everything, DO NOT touch the safc.

:shhh:

I don't see anyone suggesting what changes he should make other than turning the boost down and getting a logger.

Maybe I'm not

well should I just buy the 550ccs and wait on the car because I was gonna buy them anyways and I got all the money for them.

Tell me exactly what datalogger are you using? anyone here have a Safc and what logger you using? Can I use somone elses data logger?

I know my friend has one but its for his jetta. If I brought it to a place to get tuned I don't need a logger right?

What SUGGESTING do you need? its a SAFC with no injectors and no logger. So hes asking how to tune...well you cant! untill you get injectors and a PL. The purpose of an AFC is to compesate for BIGGER injectors not raise your fuel on 450's and have FC own you every other minute. No suggestions is needed besides get what the SAFC is even used for then with a LOG and correct size injecots (stay close to 550/650's so a good stock fuel map will be pulled and timing will be SOMEWHERE close) we can help make suggestions on adjustments.

dsmparts.com (injectors)
dsmparts.com (fuel pump Walbro 190lph)
dsmparts.com (fuel pressure regulator NEEDED set at 42psi)

GOOD LUCK :barf:

A mod already cleaned up this thread because a bunch of sh#t talking was going on. That's why my "reading between the lines" post doesn't really make sense. Perhaps one of them moderators was making me look stupid for ^^^ instead of quoting. Doh!

On another note, don't post if you are going to post misinformation. He has a 1g, which DON'T have a base FP of 42psi. Common mistake, but this dude obviously doesn't know what he is doing, and would happily take your advice and set his FP to 42psi. :nono:
