Fortunately, I only have to use the back of the canister, but it is rusty.

What is the cheapest way to get rid of the rust on the canister? Money is tight right now. I could soda blast but just lost my job so I like to save as much as I can.

Is the canister even required? It looks like there is a cork gasket in there. I don't want to break it. Any tips for removal so I can remove the MAS and just focus on the canister?

Here is the setup with the ETS intake (not my car).
