Rust in wierd spot

does anyone with a 1g (preferably 90-91) have surface rust on the drivers side door jam around the little switch on the bottiom that lets the interior lights come on when the doors opened? mines not bad, just surface rust, but i have seen some rotted the whole way through.

Both my 1gs have rust there. I have yet to own one where both doors work to let the dome lights come on.

you know....my dome light has never worked when my doors open either....or any light for that matter....only when the hatch is open do the kick panel lights come on
