All of my mods are accurate and up to date. I have an AFPR but it is not installed. I'm waiting on another steel braided line to come in for the firewall line. I did a search and I didn't find any that had my exact question.

I noticed the car running quite crappy during boost lately and I also noticed the wideband reading 10.0:1 lean during boost. After installing my 650s and 255fp I had a minor tune done to get the car running smooth while i'm running without an AFPR.

I am in no part experienced with tuning as it is 100% new to me, so the person who helps me work on my car, who has extreme DSM knowledge helps me tune it. It was running nice and strong after we got done with it.

What should I do to the AFC to make it run how it should during boost? What would cause this problem? I havn't done a boost leak check since I installed the fuel and tuning system (which was about 1 month ago) I fixed those leaks I found when I did the check.

Thanks,

Studdering under boost with a flatlined 10:1 AFR is typically a sign of a MAF problem. I encounterd that at the track this year when I forgot to plug the MAF back in after taking my headlight out. And once agian when I didn't calibrate my MAFT to the correct MAF. I would put all this WOT tuning on hold untill you have installed your AFPR and have tuned your low&mid LTFT's.

Not really enough to go on here. What is actually happening during boost? Do you have a logger? If so, post up a log of a 3rd gear pull from 3k to redline so we can see what's going on during boost. ;) Also need to know what your SAFC settings are currently. Your 650 cc injectors should require approximately a 31% correction, but we need to see what exactly is going on 1st.

If you're wideband is reading 10.0:1 that is rich, not lean. Really need to do another boost leak test since you have done more mods since the last check. Boost leaks make you run rich & that could be contributing to your "car running quite crappy."

Also, make sure when you install the AFPR that you teflon tape the adjustment screw - search for threads by oldman about this oft-missed step.

Post up the additional info & I'm sure the more experienced tuners on here will be able to help you out! :thumb:

I made a 3rd gear run last night with my logger but I can't figure out how to get the info from the palm to the PC. I played with it for an hour or so and I couldn't figure it out.

I'm using PalmIIIc and ODBII logger.

Did you read the part in the previous post that said 10:1 is RICH and not LEAN? That's most likely what the problem is, you have it backwards.

Yes I did and i understand that now. I just didn't acknowledge it on the post.

Thank you for clearing that up Gromit.

But, I wanted to post a log reguardless. I couldn't figure out how to.

I'm not familiar with OBD-II logger, but I can explain how PocketLogger works. You need to hotsync your Palm with your PC. During the hotsync, you palm will transfer the log to your user file. Then you download a log viewer and open the log.

I would look for some instructions specific to your program and go from there.
