My car is idling ruff and i don't know what the problems is. When i start the car the RPMs gos up to 1300 and then gos to 800 and gos up to 900 back and forth and my car is running ruff. I have a CEL on cause of the Pulsed Secondary air injection cause my car is a 95. Would that CEL have anything to do what it

You other guys read much? :p

Are you saying you did the keydance before posting and this is the only CEL you have or that you knew you already had this code before the symptoms came up? If you didn't just do the dance, try it again and report back what you might find. I'd suspect you're going to also get a code for target idle not reached (27?).

Your symptoms could be any number of things. I don't know if you've disabled that pulsed secondary shit, but I thought there was a recall or something to get it taken care of. You'd have to do more research on that subject for better info, as it's not something that comes up often. Other than that, check out your vacuum lines off the back of the intake manifold. That plastic one from the TB to the passenger side tends to get brittle and crack, but any dried-out vac line can result in idle issues. If the vac lines check out, pull the MAP sensor to make sure it's clean and not caked with grime for whatever reason. You could also consider a tune up with new, properly gapped plugs if it's been a while. Finally, you might end up pulling the TB and cleaning the IAC, but that's a PITA your first time.

Check out the basics and get back to us.

I did a keydance and the CEL was for the pulsed secondary shit. Then i pulled the TB and cleaning the IAC. I checked all the vacuum lines but didn't look at the MAP sensor. I will get back at yall after i clean the map sensor :thumb:

it would most likely to be the iac motor or the TPS sensor if you have access to a scanner check the DTC code ond check the TPS sensor voltage

the o2 sensor was out and my car was in safe mode and runing like poo:thumb: and i cleaned the iac and that helped too

that is hilarious...I love posting w/o checking the dates LOL

I still don't understand why we're even dealing with the secondary air question anymore. There's no reason why people should have this stuff even hooked up on the car anymore and certainly no reason why they should be throwing codes for it. I realize this is an old thread and all but geeze.

What I REALLY don't understand is why GSX77901 still was fighting with the secondary air system TWO MONTHS after we told him what needed to be done. Has the car even been fixed yet?

yep i fixed all the problems and i was trying to clear the CEL i had

it was a O2 sensor and some other little things but i fixed them already:thumb:
