Ok I have a huge problem. I have a non turbo 1990 eagle talon. And it will run on all four cyl and then two cyl for no reason going back and forth from 2 to 4. I replaced the fuel filter, coil, plug wires, egr valve, and cam sensor and im out of ideas. Does anyone have any ideas. Thanks derek

I had/still have problems with my car doing the same.
Are you sure it has to be grounded? I had 2 PTU units and when I plugged one in it wasnt grounded and it had the same affect as one with being grounded.
Have you pulled the ECU and checked for a rotten egg smell. I heard that also happens

Check for bad wiring connections. These cars are old and the connectors and wiring are brittle. Do you know anybody with a running `90 NT? Try their ECU.

My car did the same thing, it was fine then would run on just two cylinders, wound up being the ECU, but I would test the ignition setup, grounds, all the wires, and start eliminating all the possibilities. Good luck bud.

I got it figured out thanks alot for the ideas it was my power transistor. I found the info in a dsm workshop manual
