running not cat question?

if i get a downpipe that eliminates the cat will i see more black smoke(or carbon) coming out of the exhaust or would it not be any different than having a cat on

Mine doesn't. I seem to get a lot more white smoke at startup/warmup though.

the only way you will see black smoke is if your car is running rich...also white smoke coming out means that your car is burning coolant (unless its a cold day)..blue smoke is turbo burning oil and white/grey smoke is the motor burning the oil
