My car has been running fine until this past Sunday. The car was running rich actually until then, but now it's running lean. I got a stock fuel setup for the time being and a big 16g running 14 psi. Only other mods are bov, dump tupe, apexi muffler, boost gauge, 6 bolt swap with 2g exhaust manifold, and a boost controller.

I believe I'm running lean now because for one the spark plugs are whitish looking and the car builds boost very slowly (but is not a boost leak) I have to now crank my boost controller all the way down to get it up to 14 psi and it builds extremly slow. Anyone have any ideas? I'm throwing no codes. Also I can now hear the turbo spooling, like a whistling sound that the bigger turbos make, but I've never noticed my 16g make that noise before, maybe too much back pressure from a possibly clogged cat?

Stuff I've check replaced

-New NGK 6's replaced today
-Checked ignition timing
-Checked for spark
-Checked for boost leaks
-Replaced intake manifold gasket
-Dumped in some fuel cleaner
-No shaft play really at all in turbo
-No holes or leaks in intake
-All sensors are plugged in to my knowledge, went over all of them today
-New throttle body gaskets
-Checked to make sure exhaust manifold and turbo bolts were tight
-Compression is 180 178 192 179
-Plugs are gapped to .028
-New PCV Valve that works
-VERY little oil in turbo, but I think it's from the oil line that comes from the valve cover back into the intake
-Cleaned boost controller (and it is hooked up right and not tapped into bov)
-Wastegate rod was soaked in PB Blaster and I wiggled it around some, seemed to be fine
-Tryed running open waste gate for the hell of it and did nothing more

I think that's it. Only things I things I can think of to check that I haven't yet it, is for a clogged cat, fuel pump, and fpr...anyone have any ideas? PLEASE I've worked on it for damn near two days now! Also the exhaust tone sounds a little deeper...egr is blocked off..car runs fine until I build boost and it'll build extremly slow and have very little pull, bov isn't as loud anymore, and wont build past 14 psi..

A clogged cat can give you issues as stated, but also overheating. Make sure timing is dead on.... jumping a teeth will give you the same issues. Log the vehicle if you have a logger.

Sure you got the emission lines wired up right? All the vacumm lines are where they supposed to be?

Do you have a wideband to check the AFR's or are you judging the lean condition by the fact that its pulling timing when you hit boost? You arent using old gas by chance are you? I'd replace the fuel filter and maybe try some more injector cleaner, I wouldnt think a clogged cat would cause lean conditions.

Burnett03 I'll try changing the fuel filter today, Never thought about that before

Hmong_1G it doesnt really overheat but does run a little warmer then normal I've noticed, I'll check timing here in a bit and unfortuantly I dont have a logger yet.

Hmong_1G all vaccum line are good

Thor06 I'm judging it running lean by it pulling timing and the looks of the spark plugs. I dont have a wide band, but I do have a crappy narrow band which is also saying lean. I already tryed fuel cleaner.

Fiascoxl stock fuel setup
