Resolved Running/Corner Lights hate their home

Anyone have any recommendations on what I could do to get my corner lights on the front bumper to stay seated in their home?

After "spirited driving" I get out of the car and my corner lights are hanging there like two eyeballs that fell out of the socket.

I have tried bending the mounting clip out further as to make a tighter fit but to no avail. They still pop out.

I want a non destructive solution, so silicone is out.

I was thinking of putting some electrical tape "X's" over them for that ghetto JDM look

I had the exact same issue but when I switched to the smoked clear corners it fixed the issue.

maybe an oil cooler or something is causing the side of your bumper to deform.

Double check to see if they are clipping all the way on.
Look under the car behind the bumper and be sure the clip passes the lip the holds them in. If not use your finger to press the lip of the bumper behind the clip on the light while pushing the light from the other side with your other hand so it does not fall out.

The difficulty issue is not "getting them in". It's getting them to stay in. The fit fine. I am just so low that my bumper frequently deforms and they pop out. (If you read my original post and not just what you wanted to read)

It's just something I am going to have to deal with. Considered this post ANSWERED. It was more of a discussion topic than a "how to".

I beg to differ. One can most certainly lead to another. When driving hard in mountain roads where the road dips and changes frequently, are you saying that cant flex the bumper quite often.

No sense in arguing semantics though when defending your thoughts. So I will give you the win

Hi, I had the same problem and 1996dsm answered correctly- they were popping out because of too thick bumper or too small (for a bumper) gap on the plastic clip on the running light itself. I've filed a bumper inside where the clip is fixing in (making it thinner and therefore better "going in the clip gap") and never saw a light popping out again

I think every 2g owner has had the side marker dangle at one point. I noticed mine driving by a window in a mall parking lot hanging on by the wires and swinging with every bump.

The way I fixed mine was pulling the bumper and figuring out why that clip in the back wasn't seating properly.

I've lost one, smoked as in the EU you have to convert running lights to the turn signals so there were no bulb/wires to hold it...
