Okay I noticed this sounding come from the driver side of the car. The sound stays the same at idle and at accelaration. It sounds as if it could be coming from the time belt cover or back on the engine. It's almost the side of barrings going bad. I also know I have an oil leak in the same area. I was trying to hold off untill the being of the year to get it fixed. Some advice and is it safe to drive it for another few weeks???

Maybe a belt rubbing on the timing belt cover. Hard to find one that doesn't have a hole rubbed in it.

You know I really thought about if that was it...I will check tomorrow. Okay I went and check the belts but the is coming from the timing belt area and it sounds like it's coming from the cam gear is at.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fk9BPTx4JY here's a video so maybe someone can help.

So did you ever figure this out? I got the same noise recently. Except mine wouldnt idle right after it started and eventually just died, right after start up.

i have the same problem . it might be liffter tick or it is your harmonic balancer going bad because mine just went today and did about the same thing as yours is doing

all 4g63 have liffter tick try this take your valve covor off and put some cam lube on the cam shaft/liffters and it should help a little it did for me
