i just adjusted my timing belt, it was still in great condition so i didn't change it. i think i messed up on the balancer sprocket timing though, the heavy side mustof been upwards... the car idles fine now though with no more surging and no low vacuum since i did it, however the steering wheel feels like a vibrator LOL. it's not too noticable until i hit 4k rpms and then the whole car turns into the vibrator and you hear a loud wobble sound under the hood. so i came back home and popped the hood to smell burnt rubber? my question is, can damage be done to any belts from having the balancer adjustment off and the vibrations being present like this? or do i gotta redo the whole thing again?

no what happend to me when i changed my belt it my altinator adjustment screw is long so it was rubbing on the powersteering belt, on the bottem of the belt look at that and see what u find

Sounds like your balance shafts are not lined up with the crank. Re-check your alignment marks again. I would not drive the car untill they are fixed or aleast keep it under 4K ;)
