RTV to seal the Oil Pump???

My question is referring to the Oil Pump on the Front Case. Do I use RTV on it or do I torque it down to spec. using nothing? I can't find a gasket for it, so I assume there isn't one. I ask this because I'm doing BSE mod. I've search and can't seem to find a clear cut answer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or a thread link.

There is a gasket. You can buy it directly from the dealer or you can go to advance auto and buy one. Its called the front case gasket or gasket kit. The gasket kit is 30.00 at advance auto and it comes with all new seals and the gaskets. Dont use rtv and dont torque it down without a gasket because it will leak.

Thank you for the info. I have a front case gasket. I most likely worded the question wrong. I'm talking about the piece with the 2 gears inside(oil pump) I believe. But could be corrected. That's connected by those 5 bolts on the backside of the front case. Is there a gasket for that or do I use RTV or what???

yea, thats what i did and i had no problems. I also checked the shop manual and it didn't say to put rtv. the flat surface is was seals it so make sure you don't put scratch oon the seal surface.
