I have been working real hard on fixing all my boostleaks before my 50 trim gets here. I founs a leak from my greddy BOV flange? I put a new gasket on it and it still leaks. I just put some RTV on both sides of the gasket. Do you think it will work? Has anybody else had a leak from the flange? What did you do to fix it?

RTV should work. The problem is that both sides of the flange are not perfectly straight. This makes it so the two do not mate completely. RTV will fill the holes and imperfections, and hopefully insure a good seal. Just use what you need. RTV spilling out of everywhere is unnecessary and looks sloppy.

I have no gasket and just RTV for my bov gasket without leaks. It should work.

I use RTV around my BOV where it meets the UICP and it holds fine, and fixed the small leak that I had coming from there.
RTV FTW. I've used it in many places and seals great. I'm using RTV "Red".

wow this is a newbe post. with that being said what i ushally do if i need a quick gasket is goop that shit on (using sence of course) and spread it around. then tie it in finger tight. wait till it dries to make a gasket then tighten down. works like a charm :thumb:

That's a good idea. I always tighten everything down tight right away and it doesn't always work well. Letting it cure before squishing it all out makes sense.
