Rough throttle response, thumping from rear

New build just recently got running. In first gear, on acceleration, I get a loud thumping from the rear of the car accompanied with jerking or bucking. It is especially noticeable in stop and go traffic when depressing the gas pedal after coasting in first gear. It is also noticeable in second gear but less so. It is worth noting that I have 0 thumping when pressing in the clutch when initially getting the car rolling in first gear. The clutch is a tiny bit slippery, but not enough to account for all the noise and bucking. Any help would be great.

You could try checking your driveshaft, its a possible cause of that thump you're hearing. There are a couple vids on youtube showing this. And some info on it in the vfaqs.
