Rough Idle and Running Rich

95 gst had a blown head gasket, bad clutch so pulled the motor replaced:

Head gasket
Water pump
Timing components
Alternator
Starter
Timing belt
Clutch kit

Got it to run but only on 2 cylinders. So i replaced:

Coils
Power transistor unit

Nope. Took it to a shop, 5 months later they replaced the Crank Sensor. Still didn't run right so i got it back. Figured I'd try the last resort replaced:

Cam Angle Sensor

WORKED! Ran OK adjusted clutch, still needs work. Now here's the problem. While idling if you rev it up to about 4k to 5k and let off the gas it dies. After restart idle is very rough like 200rpm and rich. Also on a 5 mile round trip started running really rich and wouldn't run right over 2k rpm. Limped it the rest of the way and then tried to start it up when i got it home again. Wouldn't stay running. Figured it was the Coolant Temp Sensor so replaced:

Coolant Temp Sensor
PVC
Plugs

Unhooked the battery reset the ecu. Just for reference no CEL's after CAS replace. It idled very well,very responsive, still dying when rev to 4k to 5k and let off. So after it died started it up and same symptoms idles around 200rpm very rough. Also there is a small o2 housing to down-pipe leak.

Help Please.

Alright, so i made a boost leak test and i believe that i have all of the leaks fixed. Also i took off the iac and it had a ton of carbon build up on it. i tested 1 &2, 2&3, 4&5 and these were all at 31 omh. When i tested 5&6 it says 49 omhs. Is my iac bad, will it not work right with all the carbon build up?

Clean it off and install it, and see, and keep following the idle thread, if you havent already, idle is no easy fix, sometimes its a pita.

I have no one around here to swap with to check. So ill have to clean this one off and try it again. If it is still acting up ill just have to try to get one from the junk yard. All else fails, just have to break down and pay like 80 for one.

I did see that clip, ill check that out while i have everything apart.

so i plugged the IAC back in and turned the key and it moved back. When i turned the key off it moved forward. Is this correct?

I noticed the wires on my maf connector are showing through a bit. Could this be a problem? Any one know how to get the wires out?
