want to purchase new rims and i like the rota slipstreams.. however before i buy i was wondering if anyone has any pictures of a 2g with them on.. gold, gunmetal, black.. doesnt matter.. thanks!

To me, they look like cheap OEM wheels off some econobox...

But even if I thought that they looked great, I wouldn't get them because (for some unknown reason) every other DSM seems to have them...

Which brings me to a question, how is it that you couldn't find a photo of 2G with Slipstreams? ;)

i considered getting them for a whils, because they are light and cheap, but too many damn hondas around here have em. So i picked up a set of evo 8 enkei's.

ha... the only reason why i posted it was because it would take days to look through dsmtuner pictures and also checked google/yahoo pictures section haha.. still cant find decent clear pictures

typed "slipstream" into a search in the gallery.16's and probably 7" wide since he has 215/55 tires on them.

I see you found pictures of my car! Those pics were from 2002 when Jon Polhamus still owned it -- 99mmcgsx.

The rims were gunmetal 16"x7" 40mm offset Slipstreams with 215/55/R16 Pirelli 6000's.

I am now running a set of flat black Slipstreams with Hoosier QTP's, and a set of steel gray 17"x7.5" Sub Zero's with Falken Azenis.

Gonna bring this back!

I'm turning my dsm into 100% track car soon, I'd love some slip streams but dont wanna roll the fender

Tell me if you think these sizes will work. I'll be sitting on DG konis

15x7.5 or 15x8 slips +40 offset, hoosier qtp 26x9.5. Will that fit? I dont want to use spacers if possible and i dont care at all if they peak out the fenders, as long as no rubbing!

I wanna get away with the widest wheels possible for the best drag traction and the lightest option possible which is why i choose 15s, i have stock breaks.

Tims car in the above pic is what I'm goin for.

Evo 8 wheels have plenty of clearance on a 2G - that's what I'm running these days. No spacers, they fit fine.

+40 will also work, I used to run Konig Villains, 17x8 +40-42 (low 40's don't remember exactly what) and they cleared fine except the rear arches needed rolling with 245 tyres.
