I've seen 16x8 on the mfg website but all I can find for that size seems to be for subie's. Does anyone have any this size or know of rubbing issues with this size?

Ok I found some 17x8.5 with a 35 mm offset and 73mm hubbore... can anyone confirm that this would fit?

If the bolt pattern is 114.3 they will fit. Kind of wide for every day driving but a good choice for road racing or autocross.

I thought the 17x8.5 Slipstreams in 5x114 were +48 offset, which won't work without spacers.

I was told they had 35 and 48. They reason for the width is I have a 2.4 + pt67 so I need grip!

So long as you are comfortable with your wheels protruding half an inch and you have a stiff enough and high enough suspension to keep your wheel arches from rubbing...

I was expecting for the wheels to be protruding but I just don't want severe rubbing. I have ground control coilovers with tokico's but eventually want to swap over to JIC's.

Well I went ahead and ordered them. 17x8.5 35mm offset. Came out to $871 shipped with lugs and centercaps.

did you get those from subydude.com? tell me how they fit when you get them..

Yeah I ordered from subydude.... might as well support the subes they might catch up.... jk all in good fun. Will report back when I get them on.

Are you sure they were ET35? I checked subydude and machiii, only because I'm building a mental list of light wheels with potential. I saw only ET48 in that size on both sites.

I talked to them personally and he reassured me that they were indeed 35mm offset. The wheels I bought weren't even on their site because of low stock. So I wouldn't always go by what's on the site.

What? You used the phone? You talked to a person? I don't know if I could do that. OMG

Kidding aside, good find. I'm sure there are others interested in that size.

I run a +35mm offset 5Zigen FN01R-C 17x8 with 225/25 tires and they tuck perfectly in the back and maybe stick out 1/4" on the fronts with no rubbing so your 8.5"s shouldn't be much worse.

What do you think of those wheels? How heavy are they? I am thinking about getting a set but want something light.

Do you care to share this metal list? I am in the market for some new light wheels.

Tell you what: Instead of getting off topic on this thread, why don't you start a new one. Call it "Light Weight Wheels List" or something like that, and ask for contributions to the list. I'll be happy to contribute my thoughts.
