Good evening,

I broke one of my rod bolts when I was toquring my rod cap back on. I have another set of 7 bolt rods with the rod caps an good bolts. Would i need to do anything to get these to work with my crank an 7bolt block or should they be good to slap in an go? I also have a set of arp piston rod connector bolts but I'm not 100% on what all needs to be done to use them. I know they have to be installed by a press. Any help would be great.

What were you torquing to.

It is difficult to just brake a rod bolt, if you are planning on using your arps, which you should, take them to a machine shop, they will install them and check the big end, and machine if needed.

What were you torquing the rod bolts to?

Yes you should be able to replace the rod with the busted rod bolt with one of the spare rod/pistons you have, as long as the pistons are the correct size for the cylinder bore.

Pleas do not install a std piston in a .020/.50mm bore block.

Arrowhead told you correct, when installing ARP rod bolts, the rods need to be checked and resized as needed.
