Telling a 6bolt from 7bolt

Ok im looking at a 93 awd talon
Says he put a 6 bolt in it...Anyway to tell from the outside of the engine?

not really, you gotta see if the crank has 6 or 7 bolts holding the flywheel on

A 7 bolt oil pan will "dent in" under the crank, a 6 bolt will "bump out"

How to quickly tell a 6bolt and 7bolt engine apart

anything else? Difference in cas? anything i wanna sell the motor in it to slowboys...i have a motor i need to put into a awd im not wasting all in my fwd.
