I'm ordering rod & main bearings for my new build and i wanted to know what brand's you guy are having good luck with ..i had king bearings in my last motor which had over 50 track passes and 10k miles of street use which looked like new when i pulled the motor apart ..so i'm thinking either regular ACL bearings
(number stamped on rod bearing 1146 and part # on box 014-0566) or king bearings again

anyone here using the ACL race tri-metal bearings? was thinking maybe try them out ..think there a better choice

I am using tri metal acl bearings in my 6 bolt im building now. Whatever were in there when I dissassembled it were all worn and sad looking, But I have never had a problem with acl bearings period.

Event he aluminum ones will work, but if your pushing tons of powerand making lots of passes I figure get the best you can, and odds are you will need to change them regardless if your lets say evil eagle, though he uses aluminum rods and I was reading he didn't change bearings all last season. But aluminum is not streetable.

No but aluminum rods heat up and expand and then cool off and go back and forth in a street car that is not what you want. The constant explainding and cooling won't last long in a DD. But a friend of mine did aluminum rods ina DD anyway.

I guess , to me nayway, I would get sick of dropping the pan and crossmember everytime to check the bolts.
