Rice-free 2.5" exhaust?

I want to get a mandrel bent cat back 2.5" for my 92 TSi FWD.
Does anyone make one without the rice-pipe coffee can muffler or 4" tip? No offense to those that have em', i want to free up my exhaust without being heard from a mile away and without being hassled by the man.

yea i know that megan racing has one that is a dual tip exhaust muffler it's not a tash can muffler that is the one i got and i really like it alot if your gonna go exhaust though go turbo back instead of cat back you'll get better performance out of your car and it can all be put on at the same time i know ebay has some decent dowpipes for about 100 or so bucks that would be my suggestion

I have Buschur's 2.5" turbo-back. I like it, nice low rumble at higher rpm's. Not really offensive and not a coffee can either.

Thanx for the replies, i was thinking about the Buschur system w/ 2.5" downpipe and test pipe. I was hoping it had a subdued tone unless you had your foot down.

That's exactly what you will get. I would probably get the 3" just because of your possible future upgrades. If you plan on a turbo bigger than a Big 16g, you will want the better flow. I wouldn't want you to spend the cash just to spend it again. Know what I mean?

P.S. you will have a lightly louder note than stock with the 2.5, but the 3' will be a little louder, but not bad.

mine only buzzes between 3-4k rpms when the engine is cold. after that its never ricy. i got 2.25 catback from buckys.

You're not gonna be as loud as those cars you hear from a mile away. Turbo cars don't really get that loud.

had it on my old talon and loved it to death, nice little rumble at idle, but all hell breaks loose at wot, but not a ricey sound, its mean sounding

I have the RnR 2.5" and the sound is great. All my buddies with different Hondas and VWs all envy the fact that my car's note doesn't change, it just gets louder under throttle. I will admit I do have a 4" tip, but it doesn't look that big since my rear bumper has the little molding for the exhaust. Check my gallery and decide for yourself.

I bought a RNR racing 3inch exhaust and I dont get a "ricey/raspy" tone at all personally. I think its an awsome sound and it's exactly what I wanted.
