Can people who have gotten a tre tranny, preferably the performance stage give me a review on:
1-How it shifts
2-How long you have had it(mileage)
3-Hp your putting on it, quarter times if possible
4-any problems you have had(any at all)

Thank you in advance and dont forget to state what stage it is and whether it is new, exchange, or yours re-built. Also any information on the power rating of each stage would be helpful. Oh yeah and if you got any options along with whatever stage please specify, and what option you might recommend. I also wanted to know about what people think of adding the steel shift forks, since they are only 40 dollars a piece.

Please dont wreck the thread with a: Why didn't you just search? There are really no reliable good review threads.

well i have had mine for bout a year and a half now. when i ordered mine they had different names then they do now but i guess i would of gotten there FWD budget exchange only with a 1st gear syncro as well. I also did the clutch and threw in a 8lb flywheel with it so obviously i noticed a huge difference after. But as for how it shifts its very firm every gear feels like its where it should be. I've never had it grind on me and i got just mabey but even though ive had it almost 2 years ive only managed to put 14k miles on it. I didnt do the install on it myself but the mechanic said it went in very smooth and havent had any issues since. I couldnt recomend it more. Also they had it to my shop in canada in less than 7 buisness days.

hope this helps...

I bought mine from a guy in the classifieds, stage 1. I also as crazyjoker did, threw in a clutch but kept my flywheel for budget reasons. Ive had it for maybe 8 months but my cars been down on and off so I havnt really actually gotten to "drive" it. But from my expericnes with it, I love it. All the gears feel real beefy and firm. I have had some troubles getting it into 1st at a stop every once in a while but give it a good shove and it goes in, I think thats just a shift cable problem though because along with the trans I forgot to mention I also got new cables and they need a little adjusting. I also threw in the bearing shift kit from machV and it makes a huge difference over the stock bushings. The actual trans though has only grinded maybe twice but only at higher rpms. I think its a slave problem though. Problems problems problems. I put it in myself. I dont know how much different it is on a 2g but, dropping my old unit was a little harder then I thought it would be, maybe its because I did it on jack stands in my driveway. But im sure if you had access to a lift and trans jack your job would a whole lot easier.
Good Luck!
