Reverse

I have a quick question... but first my situation
When I put my car in reverse and back up it is fine...
but when I go into reverse on any sort of incline the car jumps repeated while it backs up... the steeper the incline the worse
it is a 5 speed and I know how to drive it...
any one know what causes this?

Sound like what would happen if your not using the clutch right...

That happened to me when I didn't realize the roll pin inbetween the tranny and motor was beat up and it wouldn't go into the whole on the tranny and it was on the bottom in the back and there was about a cm gap back there. Maybe something to check?

well if I try to back up a hill the car jumps and kicks...
also my reverse doesn't like to engage...
but if it's my use of the clutch...
do you have any suggestions

Play with the revs a bit and don't disengage all the way.. Mine doesn't like to go into reverse either try puting it into 1st then reverse..

+1 On the 1st then reverse. I do that everytime I go to back up. It has became a good habit.
