Hi guys,

i had my transmission replaced a few years back and at the same time installed a centerforce DF clutch and light weight flywheel.

Now since then ive had some small issues. My reverse pops out and grinds if i don't feather it. I replaced all my motor mounts AFTER the tranny/clutch job. Not sure if the mounts need to be replaced before doing the transmission/clutch job to have it full seat right.

At any rate, reverse pops out and its annoying me alot. What are my options to diagnose this and ways to fix it?

I've heard of linkage cables being bad, motor mounts pulling it outta gear, and a few other things. but what are the tale tale sings for each?

I just installed this clutch in my car this weekend and I'm having the same issue... except, I know a little bit of it is some of the play in my shifter.... I had a really difficult time getting into fifth on the highway this morning... and when i got to work, I couldn't get it into reverse w/o shutting the car off, and then putting it in reverse.... which I don't like doing because that's placing side load on my crank when there's no oil pressure.

So is this just a known issue with the df clutch?

Did you try shifting into second first while keeping the clutch in? This has helped me with both my 1g and 2g with getting all the way into reverse. If I don't get all the way in I get grinding or it pops out of gear as soon as I slip the clutch.
