Calgary,
The reverse lights do not work on my 91 Talon TSI AWD 5 speed Manual, and its not a fuse or the bulbs, so I am tihnking it is the switch that is engaged when the shifter is in the R position. I have the DSM shop manual on CD and it said that there was a switch and showed the how the curcuit worked but didnt show where the swtich itself was. Does anyone know? I need this car to pass safety, and it wont do so without reverse lights. I heard that the switch was located in the console by the shifter, but I also heard it could be on the tranny, has anyone ever had this problem? If anyone knows which page to look at in the DSM CD shop manual, please tell me which page it is on, and in which section. Thanks alot!

its on the top of the trans, all the way to the left. if looking at it with the hood open.

for anyone else who might be searching this in the future, it is on page 35 of 320 of the 90-91 Electrical manual on CD, switch B-23 (for m/t), automatic is an inhibitor switch B-25, or like falcone4G63 said, its on the top left of the trans. Thanks!
