I read in another thread earlier where someone mentioned retorqueing head studs. I did the ARP studs and was wondering if they should be retorqued.

Comments?

Generally, these new-fangled head studs do not need re-torqued. Mine were fine, anyways.

I just rebuilt my bottom end and put about 100 miles on it today. I went to go retorque the studs and there was no need for retorquing.

Head retourque is more relavant to gasket integrity in earlier years
which was more relavant in single layer early type gaskets.
But it is still a good idea if you could be bothered.
And should be carried out on a cold engine.
