resurface head?

ok well i had the head resurfaced like 3 miles ago, and found out that there is a problem with the block (or i think) I put a metal hg on and coolant started leaking out the back, so i put a stock one on and it held for like 3 miles and then let go, and then now its leaking, the car still runs but smokes bad.

can i reuse the head with out having it decked again or do i need to get it decked, Im getting a new short block, the people said that the head was at minium depth, so i dont know if it can be resurfaced, what should i do.

Look the head over really good. Put a straight edge on it and make sure its still flat. Check inbetween the cylinders especially. I'm gonna guess that after only 3 miles it should still be in damn good shape. All this assuming the head was resurface properly the first time. Find your problem before you go to far.

this is a good shop, they have done heads before on my other cars and friends cars so i trust them i just wanted to make sure that bolting it down wasnt going to warp it to where it needed to be resurfaced

if ## head was re-surfaced i'd also get the block decked, did you get that done too? which headgasket are you running, mitsu 4 layer or cometic?

re-surface the head, arp's, deck the block, and think about o-ringing? dont make the mistakes I did, sometimes a head will warp just by taking it off wrong, and if it was leaking i wouldnt trust it in my car running 32 psi plus. but thats my opinion and every body and there brother will tell you something different
