resonators..

So i finished up my 2.5" turbo back exhaust this week, only need to fix one leak on my downpipe. The exhaust is straight through with an n1 style muffler. My question is that it sounds fairly raspy, and was wondering if I throw a resonator after my downpipe if it'd help smooth it out. I was even thinking of putting a glasspack muffler as a resonator, but didn't know if it'd help any. If any of you guys know of what would help to mellow it out that'd be great.

A glass pack is a resonator.

I run no muffler and a 24" resonator. Sounds great. Quiets it down and makes it grumble.
